Writing a Case Report: From Bedside to Publication

Overview

Case reports are recognized as valuable sources of new ideas and information in clinical medicine. Information provided by case reports could potentially lead to new researches and advances in clinical practice. However, few physicians are familiar with the art of writing and publishing a good quality case report. This is an introductory lecture for medical students in the art of writing a medical case report. We will be starting from the bedside idea, collection imaging, and relevant investigations all the way to the publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
