Overview

Oral health is a vital aspect of overall well-being. It not only impacts our ability to eat and speak but also plays a significant role in our general health. We explored a holistic approach to oral health—one that goes beyond routine dental care to include the many interconnected factors that contribute to a healthy mouth. Our aim is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to adopt a comprehensive and sustainable approach to maintaining oral health.

What I will learn?

  • By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
    - Identify common lifestyle factors—such as nutrition, tobacco use, alcohol consumption, and oral hygiene habits—that influence dental health outcomes.
    - Explain the mechanisms by which these lifestyle choices contribute to conditions such as dental caries, periodontal disease, enamel erosion, and oral cancer.
