The Status of Academic Pharmacy Education During The Current Crisis And Future Directions

Introduction

Due to the presence of the Corona pandemic, many educational institutions have been forced to distance learning. Here in these lectures we will talk about the impact of the crisis on the educational process in pharmacy colleges and how to continue distance learning. We will also talk about modern teaching methods in the pharmaceutical field in general.

Objectives

The purpose of this lecture is to discuss the best ways to educate pharmacy students, taking into cosiderations the recent shift in education mode during COVID-19 outbreak. These topics will be presented with the necessary data, evidence, and teaching tools to inform and monitor faculty members / students responses to COVID-19. In addition discuss how to support structured resource allocation to address the current outbreak and improve decision-making processes for future emergencies. We would also cover the transition in pharmacy education and new approaches of teaching and recent developed programs internationally.
