Epilepsy is a brain condition that causes a child to have seizures. It is one of the most common disorders of the nervous system. It affects children and adults of all races and ethnic backgrounds. In this lecture, we will be talking about basics of seizures in children. This would include it definition, different types and classification, and how to approach them.

    - Define seizure, explain its pathogenesis and list its risk factors, types, and investigations.
    - Describe the approach to seizing child and outline the management of seizure.
    - Outline the management of status epilepticus including follow up.
