This lecture will cover basic information about ANA(HEp-2) patterns and dsDNA(Crithidia luciliae)slides , as well as how to read different cases.
This lecture is recommended for all interested laboratory technologist and fellows who's responsible to perform and read the HEp-2 and dsDNA IFA.
By the end of this lecture, the participants will be able to:
1- Understand the principle behind IFA.
2- Read and distinguish between different cytoplasmic and nuclear patterns.
3- Correlate the slide results with patient diagnosis.
4- Identify the International Consensus on ANA Patterns (ICAP) codes.
