An effective literature search can be an informative, critical, and useful synthesis of a particular topic if it is done in the right way. Healthcare workers are daily searching PubMed, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Google Scholar, and many others databases. Searching the literature depends on multiple elements such as the clinical question, selection of search terms, framing the questions and many more that we will discuss during this session.
By the end of the session, learners will be able to:
- learn how to search for your topic
- Develop a search strategy
- learn how to narrow or broaden your search
- learn how to search the healthcare databases such as PubMed (MEDLINE)
During this session attendees will be able to practice searching the healthcare databases online with the speaker and ask questions.
Participants can prepare a topic (question) to search simultaneously with the speaker
