In this lecture, we will discuss the basics of IEM, including prevalence, clinical presentation, diagnostic approach, and principles of management.

2- Recognize signs and symptoms of IEM and identify suspected cases
3- Evaluate patients with suspected IEM
4- Plan initial management for patients presenting with metabolic decompensations
