Laboratory scientists are the unknown soldiers in the process of disease management and control. Although hidden, medical diagnosis without the laboratory is hardly conceivable. For example, about 70 percent of medical diagnoses are based on clinical laboratory testing. But many people are not aware of this. For that reason, the International Laboratory Day of Laboratories is a good chance to provide an opportunity for celebrating laboratory staff and for recognition of the significant efforts of laboratory members worldwide.

Objectives

1.Increase the awareness of the role of laboratory scientists in providing health care services.
2. Spot-light on the key role of the laboratory in diagnosis, treatment, and quality development in modern medical sciences.
3.Establishing appropriate, accurate, and sustainable diagnostic testing to respond to COVID-19 pandemic needs
4.Practice quality assurance and performance improvement techniques for optimum laboratory analysis.
5.Encourage interaction with persons from other medical disciplines in cooperative efforts in areas of education and development of the team concept.
6.Maintain focus on the patient to provide quality laboratory services and established safety measures
