Overview

This course is designed for medical practitioners, nurses and other healthcare workers involved in critical bleeding situations. The goal of the course is to support and guide pediatric residents in acquiring the knowledge and clinical acumen required to provide outstanding management and care for patients in the emergency setting during on-calls or ER shifts.

What I will learn?

By the end of this course, candidates should be able to:
- Understand the importance of history taking and physical examination
- ABC management in a child with bleeding
- Identify the initial assessment
- Identify the appropriate indications for blood transfusion
- Understand the basic homeostasis mechanism.
