The course will provide an overview of antibiotics and regimens used for the most common dental infections.
By the end of this course, candidates should be able to:
1- Recognize when to and when not to prescribe antibiotics for treatment and prophylaxis in dentistry
2- Discuss the spectrum of activity and uses of antibiotics in dentistry
3- identify the main adverse drug reactions and contra-indications/precautions of antibiotics
4- Select the appropriate antibiotic regimens for common dental-related infections
