Asthma is a chronic condition that requires continuous management and monitoring. Asthma educators may not always have the resources or systems in place to provide long-term follow-up and support for patients, which can impact the effectiveness of the educational interventions. As asthma guidelines and best practices are constantly evolving, and asthma educators may not always have the latest information, the Asthma Educator Course that is open to clinicians, nurses, doctors, health educators, and Other Health Care Providers who are involved in the management and education of individuals with bronchial asthma The course is open also to Multidisciplinary health care teams interested in organizing or improving asthma programs at their institutions.

Objectives

- Recognize how to diagnose asthma
- Recognize asthma medications and their usage
- Outline the latest management guidelines of asthma
- Define the role of an asthma educator.
- Discuss how to formulate multidisciplinary care plans for asthmatic patients.
- Discuss how to support asthmatic patients in self-management using asthma devices.
