The Summer Internship Bootcamp is designed to equip medical and pharmacy students with essential skills for a successful internship year. The bootcamp includes an overview of updated guidelines, case discussions, practical methods for therapeutic drug monitoring, patient education, journal clubs, responses to drug information questions, and communication skills.

Objectives

By the end of the program, the student will be able to:
- Know the most updated guidelines for the most encounter chronic diseases
- Discuss a patient case effectively
- Perform a constructive patient education
- Communicate verbally and non-verbally with patients, patients’ caregivers, the community and the
healthcare providers
- Master the steps to respond to a drug information inquiry in a timely manner
- Understand how to improve patient care by incorporating evidence into practice through journal
club discussions
- Determine the important steps in therapeutic drug monitoring and patient safety

Main theme

The Summer Internship Bootcamp is a 5-day live online course, running from August 11, 2024, to August 15, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
