This course is designed to provide students and professionals with essential research skills, focusing on the selection of research topics, mastering the use of online databases, and effectively managing references. Participants will also delve into the structure of academic articles and gain insight into the research publication process. Additionally, the course will explore the ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in research. The course will also teach learners how to identify both appropriate and inappropriate uses of AI tools in their specific fields, helping them harness the power of AI responsibly in academic and professional settings.

Objectives

By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Select appropriate research topics and formulate clear objectives.
- Recognize how to use online databases and reference management tools.
- Recognize the structure of various article sections.
- Identify the process of research publication.
- Define key ethical considerations surrounding AI in writing and research (e.g., bias, fairness, transparency).
- Identify appropriate and inappropriate uses of AI tools in your specific field.

Main theme

This is a pre-recorded course, with each topic lasting approximately 10-15 minutes. There is a pre- and post-test to measure learner performance.
